To go literally, hypo is decreased and thyroid is a gland (situated in the front of the neck just below the larynx). الذهاب حرفيا ، وانخفضت الهيبوسلفات هو الغده الدرقيه هي غدة (تقع في الرقبه امام اسفل الحنجره). Making it together, hypothyroidism is the condition in which, the thyroid gland fails to function especially producing enough thyroid hormone due to one or the other reasons . Thyroid hormone is an important factor for body’s day-to-day metabolism and when it is not produced properly, the metabolism starts getting interrupted. مما يجعلها معا ، القصور الدرقي هو شرط فيها ، والغده الدرقيه لا وظيفة خاصة لانتاج ما يكفي من هرمون الغده الدرقيه بسبب واحد او لاسباب اخرى. هرمون الغده الدرقيه يشكل عاملا مهما من عوامل الهيءه اليوميه الايض وعندما يكون لا تنتج بشكل صحيح ، فان الايض يبدأ الحصول على الامن.

Causes of Hypothyroidism أسباب القصور الدرقي

There is decreased production of two thyroid hormones namely; T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (thyroxine). There are many causes for hypothyroidism but common cause include ‘ Hashimoto’s thyroiditis ’ in which, body’s own immune system attack the gland. هناك تناقص انتاج هرمونات الغده الدرقيه اثنين هما : T3 (triiodothyronine) و T4 (ثيروكسين) وهناك اسباب كثيرة ولكن القصور الدرقي لقضية مشتركة وتشمل 'هاشيموتو's thyroiditis 'فيه ، والهيءه الخاصة مهاجمة الجهاز المناعي الغده. Other causes are; surgical removal of thyroid gland, inflammatory conditions, congenital or birth defect and less commonly, failure of pituitary gland to secret a hormone that stimulate the thyroid gland which is called as Secondary Hypothyroidism . أسباب أخرى ؛ الجراحيه ازالة الغده الدرقيه ، التهاب الظروف ، او الميلاد عيب خلقي واقل شيوعا ، وفشل الغده النخاميه الغده الى السرية التي تحفز هرمون الغده الدرقيه وهو ما يسمى ثانويه القصور الدرقي.

Other than above factors, exposure of the neck to X-Ray radiation, iodine insufficiency, obesity and age over 50 years are triggering factor for causing hypothyroidism. غير العوامل المذكورة اعلاه ، تعرض العنق الاشعه السينيه الاشعاع ، واليود ، وعدم كفاية والسمنة والعمر اكثر من 50 عاما هي عامل للتسبب في اشعال القصور الدرقي.

Symptoms of Hypothyroidism أعراض القصور الدرقي

There are some warming signals for hypothyroidism . وهناك بعض الاشارات لالاحترار القصور الدرقي. Early symptoms include weakness, fatigue, weight gain, depression, joint or muscle pain, thin cum brittle fingernails and hairs, cold intolerance and sometimes paleness . وتشمل الاعراض المبكره الضعف ، والتعب ، وزيادة الوزن والاكتئاب ، أو ألم عضلي المشتركة ، نائب الرئيس هش رقيق الشعر والاظافر ، والتعصب في بعض الأحيان الباردة الشحب. The most advanced stage may end up into Myxedema and goiter in which the gland gets enlarged and is visible on the neck as swelling. أكثر مرحلة متقدمة وقد ينتهي الى myxedema وgoiter في الغده التي يحصل الموسع واضحة للعيان على ما تورم الرقبه.

Diagnostic factors for Hypothyroidism لتشخيص عوامل القصور الدرقي

Apart from physical examination of neck, limbs, hairs, nails, facial features, response to sensation and other techniques of bodily check-up, laboratory investigation confirms the disease. وبصرف النظر عن الفحص البدني ومن الرقبه ، الاطراف ، الشعر ، الاظافر ، والملامح ، واستجابة للاحساس وتقنيات اخرى للتأكد من متابعة الجسديه ، مختبر التحقيق يؤكد هذا المرض.
