Constipation is one the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Apart from constipation, chronic tiredness, cold and skin dryness are other symptoms of hypothyroidism. Gluten intake is also another cause of constipation for a hypothyroidism and constipation. Gluten is found in food items made of wheat, barley, rye and oat. A hypothyroid patient is likely to face such an allergy from such matters as they are hard to digest. They have to inculcate rice and other light foods which can be easily digested by them.
